Please Read M. E. Jones (originator) before reading changes to the degree symbols?

I do love M. E. Jones' version, the original by the co-creator of the imagery. I don't understand why Dane Rudhyar and others (he is perhaps the best known) feel they need to alter the imagery, for instance, "Deep Sea Divers," Scorpio 7 with Jones and Elsie Wheeler, the visionary who "saw" the images for the symbols for each day or moment in a person's chart, etc. I have seen this degree become "Deep sea divers with special equipment." Wheeler didn't say anything about special equipment.
However, Jones' very detailed sentences, written in classic but rather convoluted sentences, require some patience and effort to understand, which may be tough going for people who like "headline sentences" and simplicity. I believe it is worth going back to the source with this book, which has been with me all my life since I first read it with my then-boyfriend, Ellias Lonsdale, now a prominent astrologer living in Hawai'i. It is worth trying to get what Jones is saying. Of course, you, the reader, may not find Jones difficult to read at all.
I've had limited experience consciously using the degree symbols as an "Oracle" or way of accessing, I believe, the viewpoint of our unconscious minds to throw an I-Ching sort of answer to a question. But why not?
I have to say I haven't read this book fully as yet. But interesting!
